Greetings!

"There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, learning from failure." - Colin Powell

At no time has it been more important to make the right hiring decision. With employee turnover, internal theft and the potential for negligent hiring lawsuits, it becomes more important to make every effort to protect your business and employees, as well as maintaining productivity and profitability.

Typically, background checks search for a person's criminal history. However, now background checks use other pre-employment screening tools to help employers make even better hiring decisions.

Pre-employment screening can include:

  1. Criminal Records Checks
  2. Social Security Verifications
  3. Worker's Compensation History
  4. Driving Records
  5. National Sex Offender Registry
  6. Education and Employment Verification
  7. Immigration Status
  8. International Screening Tools
  9. Terrorist Registries
  10. Wanted Persons
  11. Credit Checks
  12. Bankruptcy Checks
  13. Civil Judgements

Our background checks search wanted persons listed through Interpol and many other Local, State, Federal and International databases.
In most cases every possible new hire should go through some level of pre-employment screening. The level of detail required will depend on the type of job the person is being hired for and the environment they'll be working in.

Situations that may warrant more detailed screening include employees that will be:
  • Working with children
  • Located at a customer site
  • Working at a government site
  • Employed in elder care settings
  • In a position with fiduciary responsibilities

At a minimum we recommend all candidates are screened to verify their:

  • Social Security Number (Helps to determine immigration status)
  • Name and Address
  • Criminal History in the counties or states they have lived in the last 7 yrs
  • Driving Record
  • Worker's Compensation History
data storage
Ultimate Data is a multi-faceted search that combines Ultimate Data with the known aliases provided from a SSN trace. With a Name, Date of Birth and SSN, we report the state and the approximate date of issuance of the SSN. We then run the SSN through the Death Master Index (Index of deceased persons and their social security number). Next, we run a SSN trace to obtain a list of alias names, including maiden names. We then use this information to make a final pass through our Ultimate Data criminal database.

Ultimate Data is one of our most valuable searches at $25.00. This search includes the National Sex Offender registry information. Check the State by State link below for specific search information.

We recommend you consult with your attorney to tailor a pre-employment screening program to suit your needs.

Sincerely,
